360 Talent Avenue is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Railroad Mechanical Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Railroad Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of railroad equipment. You will be responsible for various engineering tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of locomotives and rolling stock.
Pay: $65,000-$75,000
Benefits: Comprehensive Plan, 401K+match As a Railroad Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Conducting detailed inspections and assessments of locomotives, freight cars, and related mechanical systems. Developing and implementing maintenance plans and strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. Troubleshooting mechanical issues and providing technical support to maintenance teams. Collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Maintenance) to identify and address equipment performance issues. Participating in the design and modification of locomotive components and systems. Analyzing data and trends to improve maintenance practices and enhance equipment reliability. En suring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Contributing to continuous improvement efforts by proposing innovative solutions and best practices. Leading a team, overseeing all aspects of the daily operations from the standpoint of Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production. Recommending and initiating staffing decisions; leadership development and performance management of engineering team   Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Previous experience (3+ years) in railroad engineering & railcar repair Previous leadership/supervisory experience (3+ years) Strong understanding of locomotive and rolling stock systems and components.
