Responsible to the Nurse Manager/Director. Functions as the unit supervisor, clinical resource person, and responsible for nursing resource utilization. Assumes responsibility for unit operations for shift worked.
A minimum of four years clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting. Familiar with scheduling process, staffing assignments, acuity systems, and quality of care. Has developed and presented education sessions. Has contributed to employee evaluations and assisted with orientation of staff. Has experience investigating problems and provides solutions with- in the framework of best practice and nursing process.
Current RNP and/or APN licensure with Acute Care certification in Arkansas. Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration. Master's Degree in Nursing
