Responsibilities: Review stock levels and create and input production plans to ensure inventory and plans are adequate to meet customer and/or forecasted demand. Improve efficiencies through the reduction of changeovers by coordination with Production thru the analysis and sequencing of like items. Communicate issues with Planning/Production that will affect plans and schedules, efficiency and/or service to customers. Review of needs report on daily basis as communication tool for Operations and Customer Service. Field calls/inquires about product availability on make to order items. Evaluate changes in production plans to identify root causes and communicate to management to work towards solutions for improved and precise production plans. Identify and communicate forecast variances to Production Planning Manager, Operations and Forecast Planning to improve planning data. Assist in project management related to planning in regards to rollout of new items working in conjunction with various departments. Support Production Planning Manager in developing an active and continuous improvement plan. Maintain orderly files for correspondence, reports of conferences, and other project documents. Entering/ modifying scheduled production Modify long term schedules based on changes to short term. Reviewing planned batch orders to determine why suggestions are being made. Make suggestions to production/sales on batch orders or sales orders that need to be rescheduled. Bill of materials check on all scheduled productions. Maintaining offline google schedule for FG and SFG. Using BI reports to view products needed by pool. Evaluate daily journal reports to determine when and if sales order dates can be met. Uphold a shortage report for inventory. Maintain a rolling four-week firmed production schedule Be able to run planning reports of the 03 and 04 plan- Also, understand the report and its suggestions. Back fill the planning supervisor when he or she is out of office. Be able to accommodate any new task assigned from IBP. Position Requirements: Related College Degree or demonstrated applicable attributes of degree 1-2 years of relevant experience in planning or operations, preferably in Food/Food Packaging industry, or a firm that supports blending and packaging operations Required to stand for an extended time May engage in bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting Regular attendance is required Surge hires for a variety of top jobs in the area.
