We are actively looking for a highly talented and motivated Material Planner to join Nikola's Manufacturing Team who will support all planning activities from NPI to production. You will work with the cross-functional team to track all parts to support the successful product launch and ongoing production at our Coolidge Factory. This role will be supporting both the Nikola Fuel Cell and battery Electric Vehicles. Responsibilities Develop and create Supplier forecasts that capture all internal requirements that are needed to support NPI builds and production Create supply strategies that minimize the amount of inventory on hand, mitigate supply risks, and understand the entire supply chain for flexibility in production scheduling Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Global Supply Management to clearly communicate the material plans, potential supply risks, and opportunities for improvements Coordinate efforts within the cross-functional team for all activities relating to the change management process to ensure a smooth transition for engineering changes Communicate all clear-to-build plans, run-out projections, inventory liabilities, and obsolete inventory strategies Become the subject matter expert with the ERP/MRP systems with the ability to define solutions that optimize processes Monitor your supplier's performance through analytics to clearly identify areas for opportunities to improve the supply base Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience At least 5 years experience in Material Planning with automotive experience being a plus Excellent attention to detail with the ability to clearly communicate your position throughout the organization Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify areas of risk and propose creative solutions A team player attitude and are passionate about your responsibilities A strong skill set in Excel and other Microsoft applications Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred) A valid APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, or CTSC) and Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is a plus Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada.
