Material Handler / WaterJet Operator Level 1
This position will be responsible for a majority of supporting functions at RibCo Facility within Malone's. This person will be responsible for all RibCo inventory and will conduct monthly cycle counts of raw materials. This position will require some heavy lifting and regular forklift driving. Additionally, the position is responsible for staging all jobs for production employees and supplying Mylars that are checked in and out weekly, along with delivering parts and tooling between facilities. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask is crucial. This position will also Operate WaterJet machine to produce machined parts to blueprints/job routers. It will include use of precision instrument to check parts as well as saws used within the facility. Note: Must have reliable transportation to drive vehicle between both facilities that are within less then 1/2 mile from each other.
Job Responsibilities: Cycle counting of raw materials. Unloading trucks and receiving material into ERP system. Picking of raw materials and maintaining accurate inventory in the ERP system Checking in and out Mylars Weekly if not Daily. Staging parts and tooling based off the schedule for production employees. Packing and delivering completed jobs to QC for final inspection. Checking Tooling and Staging racks at the main building and delivering to RibCo. Shearing blanks and requested material for the waterjets Run Water Jet once it has been set up Deburr parts as machine runs or during the deburr operation Follow/read production traveler Sign-off all paperwork documentation Check parts with required gages per traveler Observe/listen to machine for malfunction concerns Immediately report any part out of dimensional tolerance or machine not performing as told or expected Operate Band Saw Operate Cold Saw Operate Hem-Saw Operate Shear Follow all production procedures for non-conforming product Follow all safety procedures and documentation Education, Skills & Experience: High School Diploma/GED Experience in material handling a plus, but not required Accurate counting Basic Microsoft Office experience / basic computer knowledge, willingness to learn our inventory software Ability to drive a forklift (previous experience is a plus) Self-motivated, responsible, and able to perform with little supervision Excellent previous attendance records Ability to locate and read information to understand/read blueprints/drawings Basic math skills Basic blueprint reading skills Use of various inspection gauges Mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance/over requires assistance Capability to work within a team environment Prior machine/operating experience is a plus Physical demands Position may require use of hands & arms with repetitive motion & reach. Position may require manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment. Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Position may require the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Position may require the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Position may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Position may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 30-75 pounds (50-75 lbs. would have partner assistance) Position may require activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. Work Environment The plant is a machining environment; and facility is not temperature controlled.
Safety glasses are required at all times in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed.
