The Marketing Specialist is a part-time role working 10 to 15 hours per week. This role is responsible for developing and managing a variety of critical marketing activities to increase brand awareness, support retail marketing initiatives, and lead social and public relations for the Tamarack family of companies. This person will help develop marketing materials and brand expansion initiatives within the retail and distributor channels.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborates with Sales and product teams to develop branding messages. Develop and manage all marketing communication materials for the Tamarack family of companies. Collaborate with Sales, the Brand Specialist and outside vendors as needed to implement overall marketing strategy across all Tamarack Holdings entities. Coordinate execution of digital, PR, and social marketing communication, programming and events. In collaboration with the Sales team, gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, additional channels for product sales, and builds on existing marketing campaigns and strategies. In collaboration with the Brand Specialist, manage the development and maintain the annual calendar of activities including but not limited to e-newsletters, social media, promotions, advertising, PR and events - within established budget parameters. Conducts market research and strategic planning to assess and support the sale and profitability of products through marketing campaigns. Collects and compiles customer feedback in an easily reviewed and understood format for review by company management and leadership. Forecasts and analyzes sales trends, marketing strategies, and product performance; prepares and presents reports summarizing information; makes recommendations based on analysis. Develops and maintains positive relationships with existing and potential clients. Manage the coordination of activities such as advertising, outside marketing vendors, videographers, various freelance vendors, etc. - as required. Coordinate with Sales and Brand Specialist teams to create/update F2F, FFT and vendor sell sheets to support sales functions. Work with the Brand Specialist to create and execute social media promotions/ad campaigns across all media platforms. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field; or equivalent applied work experience. 2 - 5 years in a marketing role with demonstrated ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position. Demonstrated ability to be analytical and creative Clear understanding of the fundamental aspects of brand management, including core competencies, brand personality/identity, competitive set, target customers, and other related concepts. Proficient with various social media channels with a track record of growing followers, engagement, and conversion to e-commerce sales. Graphic design skills and abilities. Excellent writer, speaker, brand advocate that may include public speaking and presentations. Familiar with Mail Chimp (or similar platform) and Adobe Creative Cloud; experience with database management. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office. Multitasking and ability to "switch hats" routinely is a must! PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.?? This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
