You will oversee the Commercial Lines underwriting activities, agency relationship management, product pricing, and applying sound underwriting within an assigned territory following corporate market direction, profit and production goals. Be a technical resource in multi-line underwriting environment, and principal contact for agents, monitors agency performance, and resolves billing and other agents' service requests; participates in the agency review process to support territorial programs.
You will report to the Commercial Lines Regional Underwriting Manager. Compensation Minimum:$77,310/year Compensation Maximum:$116,160/year Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Business desired; minimum of Associate's degree or combination of secondary education (or other related certifications) and comparable, progressive experience. CIC or CPCU designation is desired. Commercial Lines product experience including including multiple-lines 'underwriting and customer relationship experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry. Knowledge of commercial property, general liability, business auto, worker's compensation and umbrella coverage. Work with all levels of internal and external partners. We are filling 2 openings.
Looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience is desired.
This is a remote role. The desired location is New York but open to anywhere in the Northeast. If you do live within 50 miles of an office you may need to go into the office 10 days a month. Our office locations: Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA. This will be discussed further in a recruiter interview.
