Job summary
The Manager, Operations will play a key role in the management, training, and development of staff and implementation of strategic processes.The Manager, Operations will oversee all aspects of the operations staff to ensure effective and efficient daily operations based on contractual requirements.The Manager, Operations will strive to ensure the safest and highest quality transportation experience for passengers.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Overseeing drivers, dispatchers, and operations employees and their daily performance.• Performing monthly Safety meetings.• Training and updating policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.• Performing driver evaluations as required by contract.• Communicating regularly with clients to ensure positive productive relationship.• Additional duties as assigned or required.• Monitoring performance of direct reports and providing coaching and guidance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field.• 5+ years of experience in transit management.• Previous experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilities.• Experience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environment.• Experience training in a classroom and behind the wheel setting.• Must possess a valid driver's license.• Strong problem-solving skills.• Ability to understand and administer discipline.• Knowledge of basic safety and training procedures.• Map reading, two-way radio communication, and driving experience preferred.
