Summary of Responsibilities


The Project Management Office (PMO) ensures that funded projects are executed effectively and efficiently assuring delivery on time and within budget. The PMO is responsible for developing and maintaining high standards by establishing good practice project management methodologies, standards, and tools. This individual communicates to Senior Management on all projects within the program portfolio. The Manager of PMO oversees the project management process including governance, team leadership, monitoring, prioritization, communication, and quality controls.


The Manager of PMO will provide visible and effective leadership through the PMO, developing a clear vision and champion the use of good practice project management standards and processes. A key requirement of this role is to ensure the projects are suitably resourced with experienced and qualified personal which is achieved via proactively managing the function leads reporting to this role.



Education and Experience


The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, construction management or related scientific field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering capex projects at the program and/or portfolio levels, leading multiple project teams and engaging with multiple stakeholders and hold a project management certification such as APM, PMI, or equivalent.



The following skills are preferred: Direct responsibility for planning, organizing and the direction of the organizations project management office and programs. Demonstrable experience across the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over. Demonstrable success in project and project portfolio delivery in multiple industries. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communicating skills. Job Details The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM. Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed. Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required. Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required. Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of Primary Functions Establish the PMO role and feed into a Center of Excellence to gain alignment with Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards and company requirements. Seek implementation efficiencies to meet or exceed the financial and schedule expectations established at project initiation. Develop, implement, and govern program management processes, dashboards, templates, policies, and metrics. Monitor compliance with project policies and standards. Manage governance project deliverables and tasks. Coach and mentor project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices. Establish the PMO organization structure and manage project staffing requirements in line with project objectives. Coordinate project deliverables with Project Managers, Analysts, Market Leads, Regional Directors, and support contractors in a direct and indirect reporting structure. Set annual performance targets for direct reports and conduct performance reviews. Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within scope and on budget.
