Manager of Corporate Relations Location Hybrid work in Cleveland, OH : JOIN OUR TEAM! The Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC) is one of twenty-three affiliates of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), a nonprofit corporate membership organization that advances business opportunities for its certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business enterprises and connects them to its corporate members. One of the country's leading corporate membership organizations, NMSDC was chartered in 1972 to provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses of all sizes.
Since 1972, the OMSDC has worked diligently to grow value-driven partnerships between our certified MBEs and our Corporate Members. Our focus is to achieve Ohio Minority Economy Equity by growing MBE revenue 10% year-on-year.
Manager, Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Services The Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC) has an immediate opening for a Manager, MBE Services of our Cleveland, Ohio location. The Manager, MBE Services provides management services to support general operations of the council which includes certification, development and outreach of minority business enterprises (MBE).
Position Summary Manager of Corporate Relations serves as leader of the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC). The Manager of Corporate Relations primary areas of responsibility include securing new corporate relationships, maintain existing corporate relationship, work with the corporate member's management teams with emphasis on supporting supplier diversity initiatives within their organizations, assist with training and development related to supplier diversity. Serve as OMSDC's liaison on various community projects and initiatives. Work with minority-owned business participation in the corporate and public buying entity procurement process while promoting and advocating for minority supplier development in the geographic area served by OMSDC. The Manager of Corporate Relations reports directly to the Director of Corporate Relations of OMSDC.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Administration: Supervise office operations and direct all administrative functions within limits established by Board President/CEO · Function as the liaison for the Membership and Program Committees.
Work with the Director of Corporate Relations to establish strong working relationships with corporate members to assure broad access and advocacy from minority businesses. Help develop strategies, objectives, and action plans for assessing corporate partner organizational needs; oversees plan implementation and assures results. Help strategize with corporate members via OGSM discussions to ensure OMSDC is providing their ROI and bringing value to their mission. Utilize SalesForce to document and improve client engagement (OMSDC Team Members will leverage the information to better understand Member Needs and Focus). Establish outreach initiatives & strategies for corporate partners. Conduct regular customer visits with key corporate partner companies to ensure minority business council effectiveness. Identify and help match specific procurement opportunities for corporate members and minority business initiatives. · Facilitate the timely collection and compilation and reporting of quarterly activity reports as well as annual corporate purchasing reports utilizing the reporting procedures established by the NMSDC. Maintain compliance with the NMSDC and the Minimum Standards of Affiliation.
· Review program reports and direct staff in program planning and development.
· Obtain information on grants that can be utilized by OMSDC and enter into contractual agreements.
Financial: In conjunction with President/CEO, Director of Finance and Director of Corporate Relations, assist and help with the annual organizational budget and member services financial activity. · Help develop Corporate Relations program budget.
· Approve and submit all invoices for all Corporate Membership.
· Support sponsorship activity for Signature Events and Programs (i.e., OMSDC University).
· Assist in the collection of Member invoices.
· Help prepare monthly financial reports for Corporate Relations.
· Help establish outreach initiatives & strategies for corporate partners.
Programs: Provide assistance to OMSDC program areas and activities . · Help benchmark slots for educational programs that will support the corporate members and make recommendations to the Program Committee and Board.
· Work with the staff to ensure effective programs and services that meet or exceed constituent needs and expectations.
· Help implement annual membership campaign for increasing corporate membership and retention of corporate members.
· Help identify needs of the corporate members and implement solutions for program development.
· Help ensure programs are managed profitably against the program committee's budget.
· Assist with Corporate Member Program Development for OMSDC Signature Events and ongoing Corporate Member Training
External Affairs: Position OMSDC as the key resource for Minority Supplier Development initiatives. · Serve as spokesperson for OMSDC when tasked.
· Represent the OMSDC on various media forums.
· Share the OMSDC vision through public appearances at area governmental and civic functions.
· Ensuring the implementation of PR strategies.
· Work collaboratively with other community-based organizations in fulfilling the mission of the OMSDC.
· Maintain a public profile in the geographic areas served by OMSDC.
· Disseminate information about OMSDC and its programs to members, prospective members, minority suppliers and the media.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs): · Growth - Increase the number of new members by 10% annually.
· Retention - Retain 90% of membership annually.
MINIMUM POSITIONS QUALIFICATIONS: · Three+ years of management and leadership experience (organizational, financial, and human resources desired) with a corporation and/or business-related non-profit organization. Experience should include a tangible history illustrating initiative, growth of an account base and the strategic approaches that were personally designed and implemented to create success.
· High-level of existing relationships within the regional service area and/or national business community
· Demonstrated technical competency and efficiency.
· Demonstrated understanding of entrepreneurial frameworks particularly focused on minority business ownership.

· Demonstrated strategic thinking and visionary leadership.
Sales experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of the purchasing process for procuring goods and services. · Exceptional written and oral communication skills

Schedule and Travel Requirements: Valid Ohio Driver's License and maintain car insurance Travel/driving required (same day and/or overnight), must have transportation Must be available to work occasional off-hours Position Location The OMSDC Northern Regional Office is located at 2425 W. 11th Street, Suite 6, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
Salary and Benefits The annual salary range is $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience level. OMSDC offers health, dental, vision and life insurance coverage and 401(k) matching. Vacation is accrued and sick and personal days are available.
