What you'll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Manage the department responsible for body controls and electronics for all new products. You will cover from clean sheet of paper through virtual development, testing/sign-off and manufacturing launch for Scout all-electric pick-up and rugged SUVs.Work with Cariad, key VW Group module owners, and suppliers to release all appropriate body control components.Build and coach a diverse team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting continuous learning and professional development among team members.Lead the collaborative design and creation of a simulation environment for testing new body system concepts and ideas related to vehicle handling, safety features, and the overall driving experience.Develop prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.Ensure designs conform to safety standards and U.S. government regulations.Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems of Scout trucks & SUVs.Manage resources efficiently including infrastructure, financial, supplier partners and people.Be a key member and decision maker within the technical leadership team and liaison with all Scout functions.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.
