TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic I DEPARTMENT: Maintenance 18.95 hourly plus shift premium 1.75 ($20.70) Full Time Shift: 2nd 5pm-5am Rotating schedule/alternating weekend schedule Essential Job Functions:
Know and demonstrate basic mechanical and electrical skills Know and demonstrate basic Hydraulic and pneumatic system skills Be able to do basic repair welding tasks Complete daily checks of specific equipment in departments Know how to lubricate bearings Know how to read basic electrical, mechanical, piping and layout drawings Using a multimeter to make basic electrical tests, including, fuse checks, volt and ampere readings, checking for grounds Lace and track conveyor belts Align chains and V belts Know how to properly lock out and tagout equipment Know how to measure using a ruler, dial indicator and micrometer Know basic mechanical and electrical skills i.e. help troubleshoot problems Know basic Hydraulic and pneumatic system skills i.e. help troubleshoot problems Welding fire watch Complete daily checks of specific equipment in departments 80% Know how to lubricate bearings Know how to read basic electrical, mechanical, piping and layout drawings Read a multimeter to make basic electrical tests, including, fuse checks, volt and ampere readings, checking for grounds Observe an operation to determine cause of a problem. Know how to properly lock out and tag out equipment Know how to measure using a ruler, dial indicator and micrometer Improve and learn new skills by shadowing Maintenance Manager Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit or stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time Frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and odors Contact supervisor when issues occur that may affect quality and productivity.
Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in all activities.
Must be able to perform all tasks assigned.
Must have the ability to solve technical issues.
Must have the ability to lift 65 lbs. unassisted.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
