Responsibilities
• Maintain and improve facilities on campus• Assist trade shops in Facilities Management• Perform tasks in moving, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, and Central Plant• Follow oral and written instructions• Ensure safe working procedures• Possess a valid driver's license and meet requirements to operate a university vehicle• Work shift hours of 40 hours per week• Occasional overtime may be required• Provide critical services during university holidays, closures, and emergencies• Report to work for critical services unless advised otherwise by supervisor
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent• One-year experience in basic maintenance or trades or two years of vocational training• General knowledge of skill trades like carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and HVAC• Ability to follow instructions and carry out assigned tasks• Knowledge of safe working procedures• Possess a valid driver's license• Ability to operate a university vehicle• Ability to work during university holidays, closures, and emergencies
