Responsible for all warehouse and materials management functions relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This position replaces the warehouse supervisor position. This person also assumes the responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager during their absence.POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKSInbound-1) Schedules all loads verses against expected Purchase orders.2) Follows up with carrier contacts on any load expected that has not made an appointment.3) Upon receipt - systemically receives all products into the system.Outbound-1)Make sure finished goods will be made in time for pick up. Once confirmed; coordinates with Traffic Manager and or shipping contacts to arrange delivery pick appointments.2)Follows-up with carriers on any outstanding appointment times.Departure-1) Processes all the necessary paperwork and validates inventory system.2) Performs a daily accuracy verification check of all out bound loads going to Merchant's.3) Monitors inventory levels present and future (daily Shortage Report) to make sure we have adequate stores to complete and ship all finished goods. If shortage is present, they become the lead communicator and or facilitator to making sure shortage can be resolved quickly. This usually requires communication and coordination with either Scheduling Manager or Purchasing Manager.4) Process owner of the Sales Sample process. This includes communicating with Sales, receiving orders, sample inventory stores management, Picking, packing and shipping all orders on time. All shipments must conform to DOT standards and all paperwork must be accurately maintained in the event of an audit or recall purpose. Strong communication and diligent follow-up are vital to success.5 )Balances prior day's work orders to look for consumption issues. All issues are communicated to Warehouse Manager. Based upon finding they may assist Warehouse Manager in researching possible consumption issues to find root cause.Timely Adonix a validation of all out going orders from Merchants. This includes researching all issues to maintain inventory accuracy.6)Primary creator of all Pre-mix and Pre-blend inventory activity.7)Keys and produces accurate labeling for all products. Orders and maintains inventory of labeling supplies.8)Departmental OSHA administrator maintaining all fork truck Daily inspection paperwork.EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIREDHigh school graduate; some college preferred.Must be D.O.T. certified to handle and ship goodsEXPERIENCE REQUIREDStrong knowledge of inventory systemsThe ability to adapt to change and work in a fast paced environment is essential.Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment would be a plus.
