Who We're Looking For: LINE COOK (COOK II) FOR PINEAPPLE BISTRO AND BAR AT STAYPINEAPPLE THE MAXWELL HOTEL IN SEATTLE, WA.
So you have some serious cooking chops (and we're not talking lamb or pork). We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced professional kitchen and will help make culinary magic happen all day, or night, long. Our Line Cooks are responsible for accurately preparing food items for the chefs to use in meal preparation.
What You Bring: We're looking for someone who can work calmly under pressure (while handling a knife, no less) and who has excellent communication skills and a basic to intermediate understanding of cooking techniques. There is never a dull moment in the kitchen and you will have your hands in a lot of pots (literally). Here are a few of the things you can expect to be doing during a typical shift:
Food preparation according to our restaurant quality standards and producing consistent dishes from the menu and the chef's recipes.
Daily preparation of key ingredients.
Master knowledge of restaurant recipes.
Plating and garnishing for appealing presentation.
Assist with proper food storage and kitchen clean up.
Where You've Been: We're looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent). Previous prep/line experience is a plus. Food Handler's Permit also required.
