To assist the Activities Director in the coordination, development andimplementation of a comprehensive activities program that meets the individual needs of theresidentsTo ensure that all residents are provided extended learning opportunities and challenges.Responsibilities:* . At the direction of the activities director, provides direct activities services to the residents of the facility. Direct service programming includes but is not limited to, group programs, one to one programs and providing support to residents that wish to engage in self-directed activities. 2. May be responsible for completing the activities assessment and appropriate sections of the resident care plan for assigned residents. 3. Ensures that all documentation required by state and federal regulations and Stellar corporate policy is written in a timely fashion. 4. May be asked to participate in interdisciplinary care plan meeting. 5. In conjunction with the Activities Director, helps to create opportunities for residents to interact with the community at large through the development of outside trips, volunteer programs and arts and entertainment programs. 6. Under the direction of the Activities Director, assesses the effectiveness of activities department programming through daily attendance sheets and resident/family surveys. 7. Develops and provides one to one programming for residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in-group programs. 8. Ensures that all appropriate residents get to the activity. 9. Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties/projects within the time allotted. 10. Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables. This may require the ability to interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. 12. Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel and support agencies. 13. Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response and safety protocol. 14. Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA). 15. Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook. 16. Performs other related duties as may be assignedQualifications:* High School diploma or equivalent. Strong oral and written communication skills. Previous experience working in a health care or senior care setting a plus. Ability to work effectively with small and large groups as leader or facilitator. Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of enthusiasm and purpose.
