Job Description SummaryThis role is for a shipping specialist position that will hold a key role in our business, helping us to meet on time delivery and quarterly shipping deadlines while maintaining customer satisfaction through quality packaging and shipping of our productsJob DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Coordinate shipping activities with outside suppliersPrepare documentation and submit online routing, plan for outbound shipmentsLead the effort to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of our shipping proceduresInterface daily with internal customers to meet business objectives and external customer requirementsProvide shipment quotationsPlan and package product for shipment and coordinate crating activities through a third-party supplierMaintain packaging material inventoryProvide support and backup for receiving and stockroom departmentsDocument shipments in our business management system (SAP)Accept personal responsibility for compliance with Health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and proceduresResponsible for export compliance (ECCN Export Classification Number), HTS (harmonized Tariff schedule) , CoO, Certificate of Origin etc.) and ACE filings (Automated Commercial Environment), and maintain master shipping filesResponsible for dangerous goods compliance and coordination with HSE on all issuesHelp resolve customs issuesHelp coordinate and mange triangular shipments (drop shipments or pickups from other sites)Complete domestic and international shipping activities related to certificates of origin, USMCA, letters of credit, TRS (technical regulations and standards) customs and export regulations, and packing listsCoordinate obtaining HTS & Schedule BDaily Shipping KPIs attainability – to be provided separatelyDaily Shipment Issues log (non-controllables) to be reportedQualifications/Requirements:High School diploma/GED.2 to 3 years' experience with logistics and shipping.Proficient with computers including Windows and Microsoft office products (Excel – a must)Eligibility Requirements:Ability and willingness to work overtime as required.Ability to lift to 40 lbs.Desired Characteristics:Associates degree or higher in a technical disciplineExperience with International ShippingAbility to use hand and power tools for packaging and moving product.Basic math skills to determine dimensional freightLogistics Industry experience with Import/Export for Parcel & Freight modesExperience with SAP and or ERP systems, i.e., OTMFamiliarity with standard logistics concepts, practices, and proceduresStrong written and verbal communications skillsFlexible and proven ability to adapt in a changing environment ability to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously without compromising qualityAbility to work in a team environmentDependable and Safety minded, self-motivated and easily directedDriven to build effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and management of all levelsDriven to process improvements and effectiveness of logistics procedure and work instructionsAdditional Information/Benefits:Ourcompensation & benefitsare designed to help you manage your personal and family needs, while rewarding high performers.
