The RN team leader is accountable to his/her department supervisor for planning, organizing, directing and controlling activities concerning his /her specific service. The RN team leader maintains standards of quality patient care on the assigned unit in an effective and efficient manner for the adolescent (ages 12-18), adult (ages 19-65), and geriatric (ages 66 and over) patient. Through the assessment of patient needs, the RN team leader assigns duties, coordinates work efforts, promotes communication, maintains harmonious relationships among staff and promotes a safe, comfortable atmosphere for patients in cooperation with the appropriate departmental supervisor.
Required Qualifications Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units Bachelor's degree from accredited college or University Presents evidence of additional education preparation in leadership, skills and management Benefits & Perks Competitive Pay & Benefits Options Paid Vacation, Sick days, and Holidays Free tuition to UofL for Part- and Full-time employees for Child/Spouse/Domestic Partner 401K with Employer Match #LI-DNI
