The Lead Pilates Instructor is an exemplary example of this and ensures that all instructional staff within the studio is abiding by brand standards.REQUIREMENTS:450–500-hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, Springboard)At least 2 years' experience teaching PilatesDeep understanding and alignment with the Club Pilates methodsUp to date CPR training or willingness to obtainDemonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safetyPleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skillsExperience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus-based group classDemonstrated group Reformer instruction abilitiesProfessional and effective communication skillsProven public speaking skillsProven Sales AbilitiesIn depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates and what sets Club Pilates apart from other Pilates studiosWillingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically PilatesComfortable adding TRX, Barre, and TriggerPoint modalities to teaching repertoireTeam player and proven leaderPassion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminarsPunctual and reliableAbility to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environmentAbility to recognize areas of improvement and pro-actively communicate with managementConsistently uses excellent judgmentAbility to work harmoniously with the public, management and instructorsProfessional and neatTrustworthy and maintains confidentialityStrong problem-solverProficient in (or ability to become) ClubReady software for basic useESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain open availability for a minimum of 15 hours (4 shifts) per weekParticipation in monthly Lead Instructor conference calls and subsequent training of staff in regards to topics covered on these callsManage studio schedule and ensure class types, times, levels and instructor scheduled are ideal to maximize occupancy and client satisfactionTeach at least 2 Intro classes per weekManage sub requests and adjust schedule accordinglyEnsure that all images posted on social media sites reflect proper form and safety standards and are in alignment with Club Pilates standardsRegularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updatesStay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all timesTrack and review the other instructors for proficiency and performance monthlyProvided needed mentorship to instructors to ensure their teaching is up to Club Pilates standardsProvide Private Training Assessments as scheduledPlan and provide client workshopsPlan and execute instructor workshops based on client feedback within the studioReach out to local fitness retailers and offer to teach in store to promote the studioProvide Pilates instruction to include Intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training as scheduled by a management and pursuant to Club Pilates standardsMust be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experienceVisually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to useResponsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio managementMust arrive at a set time prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semi-private sessionParticipate in networking/community/client appreciation events as needed and studio promotions to generate new businessMaintain honesty and integrityAny other duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
