We are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team. As a Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for training and evaluating drivers on 26' box trucks. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation operations.
Responsibilities: Conduct training sessions for new and existing drivers on safe driving techniques, vehicle operation, and company policies and procedures Provide hands-on training in operating 26' box trucks. Instruct drivers on proper loading and unloading procedures to ensure cargo safety Teach defensive driving techniques and promote adherence to traffic laws and regulations Monitor trainees' progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement Administer written and practical exams to evaluate trainees' knowledge and skills Collaborate with management to develop training materials and update existing training programs as needed Stay updated on industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements related to commercial vehicle operation Qualifications: Minimum of [3] years of experience as a professional driver in 26' box trucks Proven track record of safe driving with no major traffic violations or accidents Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to trainees Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle operation, including maneuvering, parking, and backing up Familiarity with load securing techniques and cargo handling procedures Ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles Patient and supportive demeanor to encourage trainees' confidence and skill development Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Driver Trainer or similar credentials Experience in conducting driver evaluations or assessments Note: This position requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT Medical Card If you are passionate about safe driving practices and have the ability to effectively train others, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
