JOB Title: Lead Data Scientist

Location: Nashville, TN (virtual is fine too)

Target Salary: $150,000 - $200,000

About The Role:

As Healthpilot's first Data Science hire, you will be at the forefront of our AI/ML initiatives. This role will have a unique opportunity to have a real impact across all areas of our business. You will be responsible for enhancing our existing AI recommendation system, creating persona segmentation models and deploying new solutions throughout our product. You'll collaborate extensively across product, marketing, and operations teams, reporting directly in to our Product Development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Enhance AI Recommendation System: Continuously improve our AI recommendation engine to provide highly personalized and accurate Medicare plan suggestions.

Develop Persona Segmentation Models: Create models to segment our user base, enhancing our understanding of user needs and preferences, and tailoring our services accordingly.

Deploy Data-Driven Solutions: Implement innovative solutions across our product, focusing on elevating the user experience and optimizing product performance.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams, leveraging your data science expertise to contribute to various projects and initiatives.

Deploy Models: Partner with the engineering team to effectively transition models from development to production, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.

Conduct Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize your analytical skills to perform complex data analyses and build predictive models, aiding in strategic decision-making and business growth.

Communicate Insights: Translate complex data insights into understandable and actionable information for stakeholders, aiding in informed decision-making and strategy formulation.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Industry Experience: Demonstrable experience in the field of data science, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the healthcare or insurance industries.

Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in programming languages, particularly Python, as our existing AI system is Python-based. Familiarity with R and SQL is also beneficial.

Machine Learning and Analytics: Experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis. The ability to develop and implement models that can predict and influence outcomes.

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent capabilities in identifying, analyzing, and solving complex problems using data.

Communication Skills: Aptitude for communicating complex data insights effectively, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences. This includes the ability to translate data findings into actionable business strategies.

Nice to Have: Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) would be an additional asset, contributing to the advancement of our AI capabilities.
