Here, you'll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.Hours: Monday - Friday (9AM - 5PM)About the role:The Center for Biological Innovation (CBI) is a BSC Center of Excellence that utilizes in vitro and ex vivo approaches, such as biochemical, cell-based, microbial, and tissue-based assays to support the design, development and commercialization of BSC products. The successful Laboratory Technician candidate should have appropriate scientific experience to provide the technical support required for supporting in vitro biomedical research studies.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting in vitro assays, cell-culture based studies, and/or hemocompatibility testing of blood contacting devices at the benchFollowing experimental protocols and executing on tasks both independently and with guidance from senior team members Assisting with preparation of data for reporting and presentationOptimizing and troubleshooting technical assaysAssisting with receiving supplies, monitoring inventory and stocking lab suppliesCleaning and maintaining equipment for experimental executionMaintaining detailed and accurate recordsRequired qualifications:3 Years with Associate in Arts degree/diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/work experiencePreferred qualificationsBS in cell biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field Ability to quickly learn new techniques and adapt in a changing environmentExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task Excellent written and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team setting and on an individual basisResults and detail-orientedHands on experience in one or more of the following areas: cell culture, hemocompatibility evaluation, immunostaining, flow cytometry, and/or microscopyPrevious experience in lab operationsAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Requisition ID:579749As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
