Lab Aide - Part-Time

Job summary
The Talbot lab in the Basic Sciences Division at Fred Hutch is looking for an individual interested in an entry-level introduction to a research lab environment and has an interest in mouse as a genetic organism for biomedical research.This position is well-suited to individuals interested in a steady part-time role with flexible hours.Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. No completion of college-level coursework is needed.

Responsibilities
• Assist with regular maintenance of our mouse colony, consisting of animal biopsy, breeding, and weaning.• Maintain electronic spreadsheet for the animal colony.
Requirements
• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.• Completion of college-level coursework in biology (preferred).• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree (preferred).• Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.• A statement describing commitment and contributions toward greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism.
