The ideal candidate is handy and willing to learn and grow as a technician. This position is 100% on-site at the NSWC Carderock facility in West Bethesda, MD. More About the Role: + Prepare facilities for upcoming tests and assist engineers as directed. + Assist technicians and engineers in repairs of facilities/equipment. + Apply mechanical knowledge to specialized industrial-level facilities and equipment. + Read and interpret diagrams, written procedures, and verbal directions You'll Bring These Qualifications: + High Schooldiploma + U.S. Citizen + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance + Understand engineering units in both metric and English systems. + Able to read and interpret diagrams + Follow written procedures and verbal directions + Functional ability with Microsoft Word and Excel. + Able to work and communicate well with others in a team setting. + Detail oriented with a flexible and collaborative approach to problem solving in line with policies and procedures.
