Duties usually include the following:Applies general Intelligence Transportation Systems (ITS) planning, operational, and engineering principles to solve specific ITS-related problems.Assists in the field oversight and installation of ITS systems infrastructure, including requirements analysis, technology review and selection, development and communication of operational concepts, specifications implementation, and testing.With client and third-party personnel review project schedules, standards and/or specifications.Research feasibility of alternative approaches, technology capabilities, previous experiences with ITS deployments, cost benefits, and client/regulatory agency specifications.Writes reports, participates in presentations, discusses concepts and deliverables with clients, and participates in quality-control checks.Performs other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.What will you contribute?High school diploma (or equivalent) plus twelve years related experience OR an associate degree with 10 years of experience is required.Good analytical and communications skills essential, including ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent email program is desired, as well as the use of Internet and other information processing and storage techniques to support research of alternatives and the definition of design concepts.Demonstrated knowledge in the following qualifications:- Fiber Installation Inspection and OTDR Fiber Testing- DMS Operation and Testing- Controller Operation and Testing- CCTV Installation, Operation and Testing- MVDS Operations and Testing- Functional capability working with Existing Communication Equipment and Switches- Traffic Signal Inspector (or equivalent)IMSA Fiber Optics for ITS Level II Field (or equivalent) - Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II (or equivalent) certifications.General Competencies expected of all Professionals and Managers are as follows: Client Service, Commitment, Communication, Innovation & Continuous Improvement, Professionalism, Quality, and Teamwork.Ability to access and understand technology materials, ability to operate computer keyboard, and ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze data.
