Position Summary:

TRANSFR, a leader in the virtual reality educational and training software industry, is currently seeking a full-time, well-rounded, onsite IT Systems Administrator who will be the lead on maintaining and optimizing the current technology environment, executing various technology projects including a procurement and asset management system, providing helpdesk support in a shared team environment and provide excellent service to transfr employees and other internal staff operating remote within the United States and internationally.

Our company is scaling at hyper speed. Effective operations and robust technology frameworks are a critical component to keeping us on pace with our aggressive growth goals. In this role, you will have a direct impact by helping us take our current processes, operational framework, and IT practices to the next level by working cohesively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced ever evolving startup environment as our first, internal point-of-contact for internal software and/or hardware issues.

* This position offers full remote flexibility with a preference for candidates available during Eastern time zone hours. Periodic travel to our headquarters in NYC may be necessary.

Responsibilities:

Review hardware fixes and coordinate hardware and software purchases.
Identify best-in-class machines for targeted price point and functionality.
Manage onboarding and offboarding for employees.
Set up and manage internal support and service including system ownership. Installation, set up and access management (access rights and user administration) of software and tools for all new hires, including Google suite, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, DocuSign, Monday, Zoom, Lucidchart and Jira.
Set up and manage IT software for a distributed workforce (MDM, RMM, antivirus, VPN, etc.)
Solve issues as second line support for more technical IT issues.
Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether the product will aid users in performing work.
Create user-training manuals and procedures to help increase the efficiency of the employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Train employees on software and hardware on-site or in a virtual setting.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Minimum of 4 years working in a lead IT administrative role, or similar working experience.
Experience supporting both Mac and Windows devices.
Proficiency in G Suite tools.
Customer service-related experience.
Hands-on computer experience.
Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
An openness to learning new technologies.
Exceptional technology troubleshooting skills with the ability to explain issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
Great problem-solving, analytical, and team collaboration skills.
Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $100K - $120K, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate's credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary this role will be eligible for additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and medical/dental/vision insurance.
