SMS seeks an organized and experienced IT Project Manager to help manage projects on our 688 Cyberspace Wing (688 CW) contract, under the AF Air Combat Command (ACC).

This position oversees all active project activities to ensure adherence to plans, time-lines and quality.

Responsibilities

Oversee all active projects activities, ensuring adherence to established plans, timelines, and quality standards.

Track Implementation plan execution within 688 CW A-Staff Directorate Action Officers.

Develop Presentations, Background Bullet Papers, and draft emails for leadership.

Report project status weekly to Air Force O-6s.

Coordinate with 10 Operational Units O-5s and Action Officers for project delays, timelines, milestones, and execution through virtual and physical meetings.

Attend Weekly project working groups represent 688 CW/A46 Directorate with Project/Program Management Office.

Perform extensive inquiry into problems, issues, and questions; determining data sources and relevance on projects before being Ops Accepted into the Enterprise.

Synthesize info, evaluating findings and draw/report conclusions to 688 CW O-6's.

Provide interpretations of projects based on the 688 CW priorities.

Advises the 688 CW Service Release and Deployment Board voting member on capability status and provide voting recommendations.

Collaborate, meet, analyze, report, and interact with other cyber WS technical and management subject matter experts (SME), program managers, engineers on capabilities, issues, touch-points, funding, etc. and provide analysis and decision-quality data.

Meet industry best practice criteria and ensure compatibility with the existing configuration of the AFIN.

Engage and collaborate with requirement initiators, process owners, and mission area leads to ensure the proper and expeditious preparation, processing, and coordination of Cyber Needs Forms (CNF), AF Forms 1067, and unfunded requirements (UFRs) select the appropriate equipment, hardware, software, and/or firmware tool that best aligns with enterprise standardization strategy.

Review, codify and implement 688 CW processes to ensure operational and integration tasks stay current and support the MAJCOM and Wings goals to secure and defend the network.

Maintain open and effective communication with Air Force leadership and stakeholders within the 688 Cyberspace Wing, 16 Air Force, Air Combat Command, Headquarters Cyber Capabilities Center, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and Secretary of the Air Force A6. project team members to include Project Management Office, Capability Provider, 688 CW A-Staff Action Officers, and 10 Globally Separated Units Subject Matter Experts, to provide updates and address project concerns.

Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and compliance requirements.

Validate capability meets mission requirements need.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change requests, and lessons learned.Maintain Project Artifacts such as: Operational Fielding Plans, Concepts of Operations, Concepts of Employment, Implementation Plans, Cybersecurity Authorizations to Operate, Test Plans, Transition Plan, Integration Plan, Service Level Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Memorandum of Agreement, Operational Readiness Review, Operational Risk Assessment, Lessons Learned, and Ops Acceptance Memo.Build repository of meeting notes, reports, and project artifacts.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, project management).

Posses a certification identified in DoDI 8140.02, in accordance with the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF).

Maintains a Project Management Certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.

Familiarity with Air Force operations, policies, and procedures is highly desirable.

Posses technical knowledge relevant to the specific project domain (e.g., IT systems, IT capabilities).

Have twelve+ years of experience in program management preferably managing IT projects in a military or aerospace context.

Must have and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
