Job Overview:
Are you passionate about assisting people with their IT needs and enjoy solving technical issues? If so, we're looking for a Field Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our talented engineers to provide frontline IT support to our partners in Middlesex and Monmouth Counties. Your prompt, professional, and accurate assistance will be crucial in ensuring our partners' satisfaction.
Your Role:
Provide basic to mid-level IT technical support via onsite visits and remote assistance.
Collaborate with our engineering team to engineer long-term solutions.
Monitor ticket progress and key support metrics to ensure timely resolution.
Thoroughly document issues and resolutions, maintaining clear communication with the team.
Assist in hardware setup and onsite deployments.
Offer best practices in your areas of expertise and take ownership of at least one area.
Liaise with vendors to resolve partner issues.
Adapt to changing workflows and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in a help desk or equivalent role.
Familiarity with remote monitoring and ticketing software preferred.
Basic knowledge of networking, servers, and hardware.
COMPTIA A+ Network+ Certifications are a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for onsite appointments.
Motivated to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Job Location:
This is a remote position with travel required to partners in Central New Jersey. Candidates living in Middlesex or Monmouth counties are preferred, but we welcome applicants within a reasonable driving distance.
