Job Purpose: The Inventory Material Handler is responsible for ensuring efficient handling, moving, and storing of materials within the inventory warehouse. They will work closely with other team members to maintain the flow and organization of materials, implementing the Fortive Business System (FBS) and Lean Manufacturing techniques such as the Dynamic Kanban system and the Inventory Management at Gemba (IMAG) framework for optimal inventory management.
Key Responsibilities: Material Handling: Implement the Lean Conversion & Daily Management principle to create standard work conditions for handling, moving, and storing materials. Inventory Management: Use the Inventory Management at Gemba (IMAG) framework to improve performance through daily management and problem-solving. Kanban System: Apply the Dynamic Kanban system for a pull system involving order entry, sequencing, and setup wheel processes. Inventory Control: Ensure that post-factory inventory is effectively controlled in the distribution center, ensuring that all materials are accounted for and in their correct locations Supplier Management: Coordinating with suppliers to manage material delivery through supply agreements and scorecards, thereby ensuring a smooth material flow in the inventory. Key Skills and Qualifications: Basic understanding of inventory management principles. Strong organizational and coordination skills. Proficiency in using FBS and Lean Manufacturing Techniques FBS Tools. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
