Berkley's internship program immerses you in the insurance business, provides you with the opportunity to showcase and hone your skills, enhances your business knowledge and professional growth, encourages networking, and offers assignments/projects in a specific team/function.
Our company seeks creative, curious, and innovative candidates for our corporate internship program. The selected candidates will work with the company's senior functional leaders and teams on specific team initiatives.
Experience The internship program provides interns with a valuable, rewarding experience that connects the knowledge from academics with the reality of today's insurance careers. The program includes an introduction to the W. R. Berkley Corporation as well as fundamental training and additional training as it relates to the day-to-day role performed. The internship may include management sessions, team building and/or volunteer/community service opportunities. The various components of the program will lay the groundwork for an intern's comprehensive learning experience.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Ability to work independently as well as a team.
• Initiative.
• Interest in enhancing classroom learning through practical career related work experience within the insurance industry.
• Ability to assess priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to act independently building on ideas from others.
Education Requirement • Bachelor's Degree in progress.
• A rising Junior or Senior is preferred.
