We are currently seeking an experienced Intermodal Lift Operator/Estimator for our Adelanto, California depot. This role involves operating heavy-duty forklifts and container/chassis handling equipment, conducting inspections, and preparing estimates for intermodal chassis, trailers, and cargo containers. Essential Functions include the following: Operates various heavy duty industrial lift trucks Stacks and unstacks intermodal chassis and containers Unloads and loads intermodal chassis and containers for repairs, storage, and removal Follows the established yard plan when organizing chassis, trailers and/or containers Works with the gate in handling drivers dropping off and picking up equipment Supports the shop for the repair of chassis, trailers, and containers Completes equipment estimates Performs equipment maintenance activities in accordance with safety guidelines Reports all safety and equipment repair needs to department manager for referral to shop team Follows all company policies, quality procedures and safety guidelines Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must possess a valid driver license and 3-year driving history that is acceptable to our auto insurance carrier Strong work ethic Knowledge of electronic communication device operating procedures Knowledge of Company safety standards and procedures Knowledge of various heavy duty industrial lift equipment including high-capacity forklift and container handling equipment Ability to use logic and reasoning when making decisions Ability to understand work related forms, documents, and diagrams Ability to work with others as part of a team Ability to use computer and smart phone devices at an intermediate or higher level Ability to use 2-way radio Ability to work long hours and weekends Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with those in the Company and customers Ability to speak, read and write English Experience : 0 - 2+ years prior industrial lift truck operation experience desired A minimum 2 years Class "C" driving experience Work Environment and Physical Demands: Physically demanding role including, but not limited to, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting for extended periods of time, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing. Requires using hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls. Work may be performed out of doors and subject to environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, wind, etc. Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour depending upon level of skills and experience Payroll Workweek: Monday thru Friday - 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM Workweek is typically Monday to Saturday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM Weekend availability is required Overtime, while not guaranteed, tends to be consistently required approximately nine (9) months out of twelve (12) each year Benefits :
