Insurance Verification Specialist Job description:
This position is pivotal in gathering details of client insurance benefit and claims processes to achieve prompt payment and/or reimbursement. The successful candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills while being professional yet assertive. Highly effective organizational skills are required for accuracy and timely gathering of data. This fast-paced position requires a high attention to detail. Prior knowledge of insurance claims verification and or filing is a plus.
Insurance Verification Specialist Duties/Responsibilities:
Handles all aspects of verifying and obtaining the patient's insurance benefits Utilizes organizational skills, proper phone etiquette and communication skills Accurately records all data gathered in order to allow prompt processing / billing for services provided Works directly with the Insurance Facility Representatives and Facility's Admissions teams, ensuring all patient insurance information has been collected and thoroughly verified Insurance Verification Specialist Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent AA Degree or Vocational training preferred in a related field A minimum of 3-5 years of office or related healthcare industry experience Individual must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Insurance Verification Specialist Schedule:
Full Time May or may not include weekends Insurance Verification Specialist Compensation:
