Position Summary Concordia University Wisconsin is seeking applications for a full-time instructional staff position in the university's Doctorate in Leadership in Innovation and Continuous Improvement (LICI) program. This position is in the School of Education, directly accountable to the Director of LICI. An ideal candidate will hold an earned doctorate in education or a closely related field, have experience supervising dissertation work, and have a strong and on-going record of scholarship and peer-reviewed scholarship.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Mentor, advise, and supervise doctoral candidates in their dissertation work and work in the program at the approximate equivalent of 72 dissertation research seminar credits per academic year Significant supervision of student dissertations Advise and mentor graduate students in research activities, dissertations, and related academic activities Be an active scholar Collaborate with the faculty and staff in the doctoral program Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent communication skills (written and interpersonal) Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize responsibilities Ability to deal with interruptions and work in a fast pace environment Knowledge and skill in performing basic office procedures and practices Knowledge and skill in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access, Qualtrics and SCT Banner Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) Education and Experience A doctorate (Ph.D. preferred) in education or a related interdisciplinary field is required. Candidates must be Christian, and faculty are expected to fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching. Prior university supervising dissertations is most desirable. Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, exempt (salary) position. The starting wage may be determined upon education and/or experience. Concordia University benefit options include, but are not limited to the following:
