Responsibilities
• Provide instructional assistance and support to students and professional staff• Assist students in organizational skills as directed by teacher• Guide students in activities assigned by the teacher• Supervise and assist students with technology• Reinforce student education plans when necessary• Report and/or collect data for educational or behavioral reasons• Provide clerical support• Supervise students during school functions• Process and maintain confidential student records• Assist with student testing and supervision
Requirements
• Special Education Instructional Aide (IA) - Minimum of two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits)• Regular/General Instructional Aide (IA) - High School Diploma or equivalency• Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children preferred• Clearances current within 12 months• TB Screening - current within 3 months• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
