Citi's US in-house creative agency is looking for a Creative Strategist to lead strategic planning and positioning for its marketing campaigns.This position requires a proven record of success in examining industry trends and advising on creative delivery to enhance performance results in an agency environment.The key characteristics for this position are:Analytical expert – Combing through creative performance data, identifying the key takeaways to make an effective deliverableIndustry forecaster – Staying up-to-date on market trends and best practices to advise the creative directorsBig picture thinker – Leading the strategy behind product launches and pitch decks for new products; planning for a 360 approach and consistent message across channelsEnthusiastic presenter – Energizing our client-base to on our strategic approach for product launches / refreshesEmpathically focused – Relating to the customers / end-users to fully understand their needs and determining the best positioning to reach themContinuous learner / Influencer – Promoting continued education to the team, introducing fresh ideas and providing mentorship to help retain and grow in-house talentCollaborative partner – Partnering with stakeholders and execution partners to equip the team with best practices and the latest guidelines for delivering top tier creativesKey Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of the in-house agency is to provide their partners with innovative and dynamic assets that adhere to brand guidelines, the client's central messaging and ADA compliance.The Creative Strategist is specifically responsible for:Leading strategic planning and positioning for product launches / refreshesSharing insights on competitor work samples and industry best practices to enhance creative executionCollaborating with the marketing data analysts to collect and analyze performance results of in-house agency-created campaignsExamining market and industry reports and identifying important trendsPerforming market research regarding customer demographicsHosting focus groups to test the effectiveness of a marketing strategy or gauge public opinion on an issue or productMeeting with clients to discuss their goals for an upcoming marketing campaignCoordinating goals with department heads responsible for enacting a marketing strategyDeveloping marketing strategies that dictate the core methods of achieving the company's goalsAiding in the development of documentation and project briefs about marketing initiativesCollaborating with and advising the in-house agency creative directorsMonitoring the progress of marketing media throughout developmentTracking results of marketing strategiesPresenting to senior leadership; clearly explaining strategy and impact of the team's involvementProviding innovative, out of the box input when reviewing complex creativesConducting brainstorming sessions in a team setting to continually improve the user experience and performance results on deliverablesParticipating in project kickoff meetings, internal reviews and client presentation calls to advise the team in delivering high performing assetsDemonstrating Citi's purpose of making every client's progress our passionQualifications:8+ years of leadership experience, including experience leading creative strategiesAgency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)Strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively discuss projectsSuccessful experience partnering with internal clients and senior leadersExcellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple key prioritiesAbility to adhere to a process calendarAbility to successfully collaborate with local and remote team membersA BA or higher in marketing or a related fieldHiring Locations:New York, NYCharlotte, NCIrving, TXJacksonville, FLWilmington, DEO'Fallon, MOAtlanta, GAElk Grove Village, IL------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Marketing------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Communication & Creative Services------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New York New York United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$163,600.00 - $245,400.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
