The VA Medical Center (VAMC) , located in Beckley, WV , is an 18-bed general medical and surgical facility with a 50-bed Community Living Center (CLC). We are looking to add a BE/BC Hospitalist to our highly qualified care team, who is a highly motivated and shares our commitment to providing excellent care to our US veterans.

Duties & Responsibilities: Full-time, 12 hrs.shift; 7AM to 7pm and 7PM to 7AM, including weekends and holidays; minimum night requirement every 4th tour No Call Flexible work schedule 13 med/surg beds and 5 ICU beds 24/7 tele-critical care support Average daily patient census – 6 to 8 patients per day Academic training of medical students, medical residents, EN residents, NP students and fellows Responsible for inpatient care and follow-up for patients admitted to the Medical Center. Responsible for medical consultation to inpatients admitted to other services. Perform administrative and committee work related to improving patient care and clinical outcomes as assigned. Ensures appropriate care, promotion of Health, education and counseling of family members and control of risk factors. Provide medical evaluation and direct the overall management of acutely ill, hospitalized patients.
