Nesco Resource is searching for an experienced HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MECHANIC for a contractor in Livonia, MI. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
Pay: $25-30/hour (based on experience) with comprehensive benefit plan. Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy duty construction equipment, such as rough terrain forklifts, industrial forklifts, and cranes. The candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities : Inspect and diagnose problems in heavy duty equipment Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a large fleet of heavy equipment Keep records of repairs and maintenance performed Order replacement parts as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all safety procedures and guidelines Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a vocational or technical program in heavy equipment mechanics or related field is preferred At least 3 years of experience in heavy duty equipment maintenance and repair is preferred Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with equipment Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail Must have a valid driver's license Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or  any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
