Description: The Judge Group is seeking experienced Coding Team Leads to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HCC/risk adjustment coding, along with a proven track record of leading and coaching a team of coders. Lead a team of 5+ coders, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Coach team members to meet appropriate QA and quantity metrics. Conduct QA audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize coding processes. Stay up-to-date with ICD-9/10 coding guidelines and HCC coding practices. Maintain a strong knowledge base of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes. Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high-quality work. Follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently. Adapt to a flexible work environment, including remote work. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Utilize computer hardware and software effectively to process and secure data. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC) (No apprenticeships). Minimum 5 years of coding experience. Extensive knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding. Familiarity with HCC coding. Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours weekly (full-time).
