Advertised Job Summary: The graphic designer for the South Carolina Small Business Development Centers (SC SBDC) is responsible for assisting the organization's marketing and communications efforts through creative and strategic design, and production across multiple channels at the direction of the Marketing Manager and Operations Manager. Channels will include logos, social media graphics, newsletters, event fliers, annual report, brochures, and digital materials as directed.
The graphic designer will create a variety of layouts, print designs, website elements, social media designs, logos and illustrations. Responsible for incorporating design elements such as color, typography, graphics and images and using Adobe creative Suite to produce concepts and final products.
Job Responsibilities:
· Works closely with the Associate State Director of Operations to execute ideas
· Researches and keeps abreast of emerging design trends and practices
· Translate ideas into viable design concepts by illustrating concepts in multiple design layouts regarding arrangement, size, type size and style.
· Responsible for delivering appropriate files in needed formats
· Organizes tasks to complete assignments within established deadlines Qualifications: · Proven work experience in graphic design as evidenced by a work portfolio
· Organization and time management skills in order to manage assignments with established deadlines
· Solid experience in Adobe Creative Suite and eagerness to learn new software as needed
· Passionate about design and willingness to research projects in order to deliver a successful product
· Creative flair, originality and strong visual sense
· Strong computer skills
· Degree (or pursuing a degree) in graphic design or related field
