Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits.DescriptionPrimarily compile and use geospatial data to assist Tailings, Crushed Leach, and Water (TCLW) specialists, engineers, and leadership with the management and operations of global assets. The TCLW geospatial team develops, implements, coordinates, and maintains an array of geospatial data and applications.Compilation of datasets into enterprise databases and GIS projects.Geospatial data management tasks for efficient use of incoming imagery, survey data, and other remote sensing data typesDeveloping workflows and tools to automate geospatial data management tasksDeveloping maps and applications to visualize and query engineering datasets related to the businessProvide assistance and support for departmental projects and tasks as neededPerform other duties as requested.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography or related field and one (1) year of specific experience with GIS softwarePreferred Qualifications:Basic programming skills and/or familiarity with one or more languages such as (Python, Javascript, R etc)Familiarity with Satellite Remote Sensing Technology and/or Imagery AnalysisCriteria/Conditions:Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state lawsWhat We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$62,000-$85,000.This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
