This project management position performs duties which contribute to the development, deployment, and support of Geospatial Technologies (GST) GIS and asset management solutions for internal and external clients at England-Thims & Miller, Inc. (ETM). As the Geospatial Consultant, you serve as the client-facing project manager responsible for client relationships and delivering the assigned project scope on-time and on-budget. This person maintains timely communication & coordination of project tasks to the internal and external project team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), engineering, computer science or related field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience in GIS applications
GIS Professional (GISP) Certificate and/or Professional Project Management training.
Experience in a primary client facing role for a minimum of (1) year
Master's degree in geography, geographic information systems (GIS), engineering, computer science or related field is preferred
Project Management and Coordination: Oversee and manage geospatial projects for both internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery and superior quality.
Coordinate, host, and facilitate client meetings for requirement gathering and information dissemination.
GIS and Asset Management Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain GIS and asset management solutions tailored to client needs.
Assist in software deployment activities, including installations and updates.
Oversee the setup and administration of platforms like Esri ArcGIS Online
Data Management and Analysis: Collect, document, and input data pertinent to projects.
Conduct advanced analyses, data mining, and create client-specific reports/exhibits.
Clean, organize, and categorize data within the GST systems, ensuring data integrity.
Client Engagement and Support: Engage clients regularly for feedback, continuous collaboration, and to identify additional service opportunities.
Offer dedicated support services, addressing clients' queries, concerns, and needs.
Conduct client training sessions on tools, platforms, and best practices.
Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure rigorous quality control of all deliverables prior to distribution.
Review and approve invoices, ensuring alignment with project scopes.
Translate client requirements into clear technical directives for the team.
Business Development and Proposal Assistance: Support the Geospatial Program Manager in proposal development and submissions.
Attend trade shows, ETM events, and other industry engagements to represent the organization and foster business growth.
Documentation and Administrative Duties: Prepare and distribute agendas, meeting minutes, and other relevant documentation.
Manage contracts, ensuring adherence to defined scope, budget, and timelines.
Handle the distribution and collection of files and information both internally and externally.
Travel and Site Visits: Periodically travel for client site visits, ensuring a deep understanding of the on-ground geospatial needs.
Attend conferences and industry events, as assigned, to stay updated on the latest trends and developments.
Continuous Improvement and Best Practices: Assess and recommend best practices in GIS and asset management to clients.
Strive for overall client satisfaction, addressing concerns and seeking feedback for service enhancement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Advanced knowledge of spatial analytical and cartographic techniques
Knowledge of system and database design knowledge
Experience working independently or with a team on advanced projects
Ability to load, reference, project and prepare data from internal or external providers
Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to visualize, present, and translate geospatial information.
Works independently with minimal guidance and understand project management techniques
Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions to improve performance
Ability to interpret internal and external needs for geospatial solutions
Embodies the 'ETM Way' in both their personal and professional lives
Software ArcGIS Pro
ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS
Cartegraph OMS experience is a plus
AutoCAD 20xx Civil 3D experience is a plus
ArcGIS Workflow Manager experience is a plus
ArcGIS Data Reviewer experience is a plus
Scripting / Query Languages Python, Arcade, Java, and JavaScript is a plus
SQL is a plus
