Practice Highlights Expected Work Schedule: 36 patient contact hours plus call Call Frequency: 1:316-18 patients per day in clinic Block OR time Dedicated physician, APC, and RN support in OR and clinic Bread and butter general surgery Summary:
Physician follows standards of practice to provide direct quality care to patients. Assures that the patients needs are met and provides open communication with patients, families and other physicians.
Responsibilities:
*Treats patients, staff, and colleagues with respect at all times.
*Participates in a positive and constructive manner in all interactions to problem solve operational or delivery of medical care issues in a cooperative manner.
*Is generally accessible and available in a timely manner to meet the requirements of patient-need or on-call responsiveness.
*Communicates in a professional, timely manner with patients (example - phone follow-up) and medical staff colleagues.
*Demonstrates ability to change based on feedback and data.
*Ensures that medical record documentation is timely, legible (or dictated) and accurate for all patient interactions.
*Is knowledgeable, timely and accurate in providing diagnostic and billing information on each patient visit.
*Is able to cost effectively manage a primary care practice of 2,000-4,000 patients.
*Is open to modify approach to provision of care, based on evolving aspects of practice and delivery of care models.

MD/DO with Residency training from an approved ACGME General Surgery program. Must be able to obtain a NM Medical License, DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration.
