An award-winning Southern Connecticut independent community teaching hospital is seeking an accomplished Board Certified clinical G astroenterologist with proven leadership ability to join talented, high performing and supportive colleagues in the thriving gastroenterology section of the hospital's rapidly growing integrated multispecialty medical group practice. In addition to an active clinical practice, the position offered includes the leadership role of Chief, Division of Gastroenterology in the hospital's Department of Medicine.
Chief responsibilities include medical direction of the hospital-based Griffin Digestive Disorders Center equipped with the latest G.I. endoscopy technology. The ideal candidate for this position must be board certified in Gastroenterology with a minimum of 3 years experience in a gastroenterology specialty practice. Education/Licensing Requirements: Graduation from accredited medical school (MD or DO). Board certified or board eligible (new fellowship grads) in Gastroenterology required. Valid and unrestricted Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain. Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary plus incentive compensation based on productivity and quality measures. Generous paid time off includes vacation, holidays, sick time and CME. Benefits include medical, vision, dental (including orthodontia), 401k with employer match and CME allowance. H-1B Cap Exempt. Willing to sponsor Green Card applications.
