Front Desk Agent - Summit Location Bellaire, MI : Position Summary: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for the guest reservations and front desk experience. Responsibilities include selling the resort and booking reservations for social and group guests. Greets and registers guest upon arrival and checks guests out in a speedy and correct manner, while providing outstanding guest service. Must be able to accurately give directions and answer questions regarding resort and surrounding area.
Position Duties/Responsibilities: Sell the benefits of the Resort to callers and book reservations for social and group guests. Answer all phones within three rings. Greet and register guests using guest name-Issue room keys and give appropriate information regarding lodging location and resort information. Attend to guests needs and wants to make their stay a pleasure. Accurately enter all required reservation/check in information. Follow through on all requests by guests within 24 hours when contacted by telephone, email, or US mail, and immediately when guest is in house. Make sure that all confirmations go out within 24 hours. Answer guest inquires with accurate information in a polite and friendly manner. Assist guests in making reservations for golf, spa, and dining. Maintain accurate and precise records on all social and group files-room availability, room rates and options, packages and billing. Compute bill, collect payment, post room charges if needed and make change for guests. Know all safety and emergency procedures and how to act upon them. Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box. Maintain a neat and clean work space. Log all housekeeping and maintenance calls and input work orders into the system. Other duties as assigned. Professional Experience: This position requires 6 to 12 months of professional experience in reservations or front desk in a hotel/resort setting.
Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position, Associate's Degree in related field is preferred.
Required Skills: Must possess a valid driver's license. Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
