Freight Forwarding Claims Specialist
WCAworld is a global logistics network that connects freight forwarders from around the world. We are currently seeking a Payment Protection Claims handler to join our team in Coral Springs, FL. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, excellent communication and negotiation skills and will be responsible for managing non-payment claims and disputes between freight forwarders as part of our payment protection program.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle the end-to-end claims process for the Gold Medallion payment protection program. This includes reviewing, evaluating, and processing claims submitted by customers, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and procedures.
Conduct thorough investigations to gather all necessary information and documentation related to each claim. Analyze the validity and accuracy of claims, assessing liability and determining appropriate compensation based on the terms and conditions of the program.
Interact professionally and effectively with customers and internal teams to facilitate the claims resolution process. Engage in negotiations when required to reach fair settlements and resolve disputes in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and organized claim files, including all supporting documents, correspondence, and relevant records.
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims handling process. Respond promptly to inquiries, address concerns, and ensure customers are kept informed about the status of their claims.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding with comprehensive understanding of freight forwarding operations, including various transportation modes, customs regulations, and related documentation.
2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
3. Excellent written and spoken English, Spanish is a plus
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Strong attention to detail
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills
8. Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining professional relationships with customers throughout the claims process.
