Foundry Process Engineer - Hodges, SC

Qualifications:
•    A bachelor's degree in Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering
•    Extensive experience in process engineering
•    Worked in a foundry environment previously.
•    Quality Management: Extensive experience in quality management methods, tools, and techniques and the ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
•    Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.  
•    Collaborating: Working knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.  
•    Flexibility and Adaptability: Working knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change. 
•    Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem-solving appropriately to diverse situations.
•    Manufacturing Standards, Procedures, and Policies: Working knowledge of organizational standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
•    Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Extensive experience using concepts, principles, and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences. Role & Responsibilities:
•    Collaborate to improve foundry practices and processes using quality methodologies.
•    Provide support and troubleshooting to metallurgical lab and other departments on foundry processes.
•    Conduct defect analysis and deliver technical solutions to improve product quality and controls.
•    Support product reliability projects and customer satisfaction through support of the CPS (Caterpillar Production System), NPI (New Product Introduction), and CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) programs.
•    Research, develop, and audit foundry processes to ensure product quality improvements.
•    Monitor the process performance throughout foundry operations.
•    Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
