Fiscal Analyst - Workforce Instruction (Part-Time) Location Seattle, WA : Opportunity Description North Seattle College is looking to hire a part-time Fiscal Analyst in the Workforce Instruction Division.
Salary Range for this position is $17,015.04 to $22,664.88, annually .

Position Summary Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this part-time position performs complex administrative, financial, and clerical tasks and provides support with all tasks related to the efficient functioning of the programs in the Workforce Instruction Division. The Fiscal Analyst 1 is responsible for supporting multiple programs and grants. Responsibilities include reporting, reconciling, tracking, and auditing of division budget related items; preparation of division paperwork and data tracking; and backup support for other office processes. This position requires many daily interactions with students, faculty, the Dean, the Business Office, the District Office, the Purchasing Office, the Accounts Payable Office, and other staff, all while working in a professional, collaborative, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environment.
This position is part-time, working 16 hours per week. This position is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees. What you will be working on: Provide budget support to Unit Administrator in tracking, reconciling, troubleshooting, and resolving any discrepancies for Workforce Instruction budgets, including analysis of monthly budget reports; auditing of division budget expenditures, purchase requisitions, and changes for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures; preparation of budget documents; and providing cost estimates for equipment, projects and future needs Perform daily tasks pertaining to the fiscal health of the division, which includes: reconcile fiscal statements and fixed assets; prepare journal vouchers reflecting expenditures and transfer of funds; reviewing process vendor payment claims; resolve problems related to accounts payables; prepare, reconciles and analyses general ledger entries; Develop and provide queries and reporting from existing fiscal database Prepare invoice vouchers for payment and reimbursement; oversee/process purchase requisitions for supplies and equipment; prepare invoice vouchers, interdepartmental charge backs (IDCs), and other budget forms as needed. Ensure the payments are made from the appropriate budget chart strings. Ensures compliance and that proper processes are followed for invoicing for external payments and refunds, as well as liaise with external partners for procurement of all necessary signatures for invoice vouchers. Coding transactions to appropriate accounts; evaluating payment/purchase requests for accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with applicable State Finance/Purchasing policies and procedures; processing payment/purchase requests accurately and in a timely manner. Grant invoicing and compliance: Maintain purchasing records for multiple federal, state, and private grants; assist with grant report preparation and invoicing. Provide assistance to Unit Administrators with financial summary information, analysis of financial reports and development of fiscal procedures to inform administrative decision-making Assists with office record-keeping: Assist in maintaining records, collecting, reviewing, and processing documents as needed, compose letters, compile, and produce reports, applications, financial statements, schedules, test materials, and other documents; prepare and update various reports. Liaises with College and District Business Offices for inquiries and approvals pertaining to sustaining the short-term and long-term fiscal health of the Workforce Instruction division and its programs Perform other duties as required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and one year of relevant professional experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
