Responsibilities
• Perform checkout, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning/startup of equipment• Commission, troubleshoot, and alter PLCs, PID loop controllers, VFDs, HMIs, and other control devices• Be on call for customer service• Modify technical documents and drawings• Travel extensively within the region and potentially the US
Requirements
• Experience with programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20 MA loop devices• Experience with modifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting PLCs (programmable Logic Controllers)• Experience with National Electrical code (NEC)• Experience reading and understanding P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics• Able to travel over 75% of the time• Valid Driver's License• Physical requirements: Able to lift up to 50# on occasion and 25# routinely, able to bend, stoop, crawl and maneuver around skidded equipment and piping• TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) required• Preferred: Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix, GE Rx3i, Modicon, and Siemens PLCs• Preferred: 2-year Technical Degree or 4 years of military service working with boilers• Preferred: Field work experience in petrochemical, power generation, renewable energy, pulp & paper, or food processing industries• Preferred: Electrical journeyman license• Preferred: Experience with industrial safety, OSHA, and NFPA 70E• Preferred: Experience working on industrial, electrical, and electronic equipment
