Responsibilities
• Perform minor and major repair of buildings and equipment• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment• Replace broken windows, repair doors and locks, install window blinds• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures• Provide operational support for faculty, staff, and parents for activities and special events• Move furniture and equipment as needed• Respond to emergency maintenance requests• Perform outside custodial duties such as snow removal• Assist with renovation of buildings• Drive bus• Assist in recommending, developing, and implementing improvements to procedures, equipment, and systems• Other duties as required
Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment systems and terminology• 1-3 years of related experience required, preferably in an educational setting• Valid driver's license and ability to meet facility insurance requirements for school vehicle operators• Regular attendance required

• Working knowledge of all building systems and components• Ability to read building blueprints, specifications, and operating manuals• Good skill in the use of hand and power tools• Ability to deal with people and perform under stress and in emergency situations• Ability to use a computer and access work order system• Ability to handle multiple projects and work with various school and volunteer organizations• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively• Valid driver's license with Class B commercial driver's license with a P & S endorsement or ability to attain one within ninety days of employment
