Position Summary: To maintain and monitor the entire property and all equipment. In support of the Property Director, will assist guests with maintenance or other requests, identify and correct problems, organize workloads and supervise all employees in accordance with Engineering and the property's policies and procedures. Will ensure the property's appearance is in top condition with the objective being smooth daily operations and that all facilities and systems consistently operate properly with minimal downtime and/or disruption to employees, members or guests.
Essential Functions: Assists in ensuring all buildings / equipment / systems are in good working order and are consistent with quality standards of the property. Operates and maintains all HVAC and refrigeration, electrical distribution, and central physical plant equipment on the property. Monitors and maintains inventory control of supplies for department. Performs human resource functions for maintenance staff, including supervision, assignments, training, and evaluating. Assists any engineering mechanic with problems beyond their expertise. Estimates material and manpower for projects carried on in-house. Coordinates outside contract labor when necessary. Tours property daily. Reports any problems to the Director of Engineering and / or resolves independently. Updates all checklists in accordance with current requirements and equipment inventory. Assists in managing and coordinating with contractors / vendors on repairs, renovations, remodels and new construction. Performs locksmith functions for the property. Position Requirements: Minimum Knowledge - Requires advanced knowledge of specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field. May require knowledge of policies and procedures, and the ability to determine a course of action based on these guidelines.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience - This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of three years job-related experience.
This position requires a person with exceptional analytical and computational skills, excellent organization skills, previous supervisory experience (of both project work and maintenance staff), the ability to multi-task and an ability to work under extreme pressure with strict deadlines.
